The position is located in the School of Physical, Environmental and Mathematical Sciences (PEMS). The School of PEMS has approximately 30 academic staff, 10 research fellows and associates, and 10 professional staff. The School offers research degrees at Master and PhD level, and currently has enrolled over 60 Higher Degree Research students.
The post-doc position has been created to support research from the Australian Research Council grant "Verifying the Riemann hypothesis to large heights: theory and applications" (DP160100932). The researchers on this project are Tim Trudgian (UNSW Canberra) and Dave Platt (Bristol). We are seeking someone with a background in analytic number theory, preferably someone who has conducted research on the Riemann zeta-function or has some computational experience.
