Howard Library - APEC

During his time as Prime Minister, John Howard represented Australia many times including at the annual APEC Leaders Meetings. He was a strong advocate for Australia and showed a willingness to enter into the spirit of these gatherings in wearing the national dress of each host country.

“APEC was an important forum for John Howard to talk about Australia’s national interests, particularly in the economic sphere,” says Howard Library Director Professor Tom Frame.

The Howard Library, established by UNSW Canberra, will soon open at Old Parliament House in Canberra.
